About me

I just graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design from the Ringling College of Art and Design and I'm looking for a job in Chicago as we speak!

About my collections

I LOVE MUSIC! I collect as much of it as I possibly can! Even if I don't really like it, I'm a firm believer that I will at some point.

As for movies, my collection is getting bigger, but I still have quite a ways to go.

Stellar

Posted : 15 years, 9 months ago on 2 February 2009 07:49 (A review of No Country for Old Men (2007))

A little slow moving at the beginning, maybe. You definitely couldn't watch it if you needed a movie to keep you awake but it did kind of build the tension up towards the middle-end. I will say though, that Javier Bardem was the most solid character I've seen in awhile. His voice, mannerisms, appearance, everything was just great. I need to read the book and compare but from what I've heard, this is one of those rare occasions where they both are amazing. I've read McCarthy's "The Road" and loved it, so I can only imagine. Overall, it's a little unsettling for some people, but I highly recommend it!

From Dusk Till Dawn review

Posted : 15 years, 9 months ago on 2 February 2009 07:43 (A review of From Dusk Till Dawn)

Slightly cheesy for me in terms of a Rodriguez/Tarantino movie. I can't explain why exactly. Then again, I've always just liked to keep Tarantino behind the camera anyways. I also can't stand Juliette Lewis so that was just kind of a bummer for me. I thought the plot could've been better overall, though, I will say that Salma Hayek was freaking hot in that snake scene!

Crazy

Posted : 15 years, 9 months ago on 2 February 2009 07:39 (A review of Black Snake Moan)

I LOVE Samuel L. and I LOVE Christina Ricci so I had to see it. I'm into weird movies as it was but even this was kinda like, wtf. I feel like Riccis little nympho issue was a bit wacked but ah well. It was a good movie overall I'd say.

Precious.

Posted : 15 years, 9 months ago on 2 February 2009 07:36 (A review of A Little Princess)

I'm really not one for cheesy/cute chick flick movies. I'm not even a big fan of feel-good movies but for some reason I love this movie. I saw it when it first came out when I was younger and I watched it again and I'm almost embarrassed to say that it was just as good as I remember it. Maybe it's the nostalgic part of me talking, but I'd definitely recommend it.

Surprisingly Good

Posted : 16 years, 4 months ago on 6 July 2008 09:31 (A review of The Fan)

Just came across this the other day on TV and was surprised to find that it was pretty good. Robert DeNiro plays freaky sooooo well in this movie. Almost too well.

Eh...

Posted : 17 years, 9 months ago on 1 March 2007 01:54 (A review of The Number 23)

I have to say that the ending is pretty disappointing. It's not necessarily predictable, but yeah, it's close.

I will say that it was filmed pretty cool though. Like, some parts really resembled the kind of style of Sin City which I thought was amazing.

Jim Carrey did a good job as a serious actor though, it was no 'Majestic' but it was ok.

Overall though, I've seen better, way better.

Ehh....

Posted : 17 years, 9 months ago on 12 February 2007 08:54 (A review of Arrested Development - Season 3)

Charlize Theron proved to be an iffy character. I wasn't sure I like how they wrapped up the ending. Don't get me wrong, there are still tons of funny parts in season 3. It's definitely the best show ever.

My favorite show of all time...

Posted : 17 years, 9 months ago on 12 February 2007 08:52 (A review of Arrested Development - Season 2)

So quotable, so amazing. There is not a weak character in the whole Bluth family. Seriously.

I will never forgive FOX for cancelling such a masterpiece.

Obviously amazing...

Posted : 17 years, 9 months ago on 12 February 2007 08:49 (A review of Star Wars: A New Hope)

I really wished I was around when it came in out in the movie theaters when it was way ahead of it's time. I mean its still an excellent movie and I give it tons of respect for doing what it did when it came out. There's honestly been no movie that was as culturally shocking as Star Wars. No fans will ever be more devoted either. And what a great twist in the end... honestly, you could probably go anywhere in the world and every single person would know what you meant when you said "Luke, I am your father."

Basically, I love this movie and it was great when I was little, but I'm sad to see the death of it all.

Excellent book and movie...

Posted : 17 years, 9 months ago on 5 February 2007 09:03 (A review of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest)

It's actually one of the few instances where the movie might be better than the book... but in the end, I can't really decide. They're both fantastic, although one will lead you through the story with a different mindset than the other. I'd almost suggest watching the movie first.

Regardless of that... the movie is still amazing. Jack Nicholson is the man, although every single actor in this movie is really solid. Louise Fletcher honestly makes you hate her character so much, she does an amazing job. Each one is exactly how I would've portrayed them in the book. Overall, yeah, one of my favorites of all time.
